After a little trip to Northern Ireland in FM07 with Lisburn Rangers developed into my most enjoyable save ever, I have been tempted back to Northern Ireland with FM08.

The sheer amount of CUPS is a bit of a standing joke between anyone who has ever managed in "N'orn Iron" and is the reason for my slightly obscure thread title.

Maybe I should have just called it.....

"Will I ever get to Phnom Penh?"

Season 2007/08. On holiday dreaming of fat GK's who score goals as well as keeping clean sheets, centre-backs who outscore strikers and strikers with the ability to finish 1v1's.

Tandagree and Mosside were promoted via the relegation playoff and Tandagree is a bit of a mouthfull so I picked Mosside.

Season 2008/09.

Second Division. 8th P22 W7 D6 L9 GF23 GA28 GD-5 PTS27.
Intermediate League Cup. Finished 5th of 6 in group stage and didn't progress.
Antrim Trophy. Lost in 2nd Round to a "grey" team, (Dunmurry YM) .
N.Irish Cup. Lost in 1st Round to a "grey" team, (Warrenpoint) .
Intermediate Cup. Lost 5-0 in the 2nd Round to a "grey" team, (Crumlin Utd) .

My player of the year. Me. How I managed to keep us up when my top goal-scorer scored only 4 goals I have simply no idea. All the players were pish!

Fans player of the year. 17 year old left winger who didn't even manage an average rating of more than 7.00.

Season summary. Well my GK scored which was a highlight, and we didn't get relegated so I kept my job. Isn't that all that's required of a 1st season in charge od a newly promoted club?
