| He sure did but he had to have special dispensation from the FA. To be honest as one of the youngets ever England Under 16's at 14, they couldn't really say no.

In game it is 16 for league games and any age for FA cup games (in England).

You have to be 16 or more to play open age football. That goes right down to Sunday league. However, it doesn't affect the FA Cup, FA Trophy, FA Shield etc. The League Cup is a differnt matter, you have to be 16. I know, I couldn't play a 15 year old in it (he was awesome too!)
