There is nothing wrong with splitting the news items like this and I am surprised that so many people see it as a bad thing. I look on Football 365 for my football news, I don;t want it in my inbox.
What is wrong with it, is that the game doesn't draw your attention to the screen anywhere near enough. If it can do that for FM2009 then both camps will be happy and I think people will begin to see it as an improvement rather than a backwards step.

I don't like it either but it's not the end of the world. We can still see the news. It's just a bit different than older version. Maybe SI will fine tune it for FM09...

Thanks for the sarcasm, but it would help if when you pressed that button that he news would be in some sort of decipherable sequence...like date received?
I too hate this new feature because there is no order, and you also have no way of telling if you have read the mail or not.
An option to keep it the same or change it would have been better.

Its annoying, sure, but it would be a hell of a lot better if it were put in chronological order and not just flung higgledy piggledy all over the place so i constantly have to scroll through news ive already seen to get to relevent items. making the new news screen more coherent would go a long way towards being a fair compromise between the two factions.

I agree that it could be improved but I like the concept of making them seperate. Was more anoying for me to wade through 20 emails, 75% of which I could care less about at that moment, just to see things that affected me.
Not like it takes a lot of work to click through to the news screen ;p

I must admit I prefer the old system. I can see why they thought the new one was a good idea, but I think some sort of compromise between the two would be better. For example, domestic news such as transfers, manager and player stories should go into your inbox. The seperate news section should contain less relevant info, such as news from other leagues and international news. This would reflect RL more too, as it's quite easy to get domestic news through the media, however if you want to find out what's going on in the rest europe or further overseas you'd have to purposefully search for it.
