Now I know that there are a few problems with the confidence which will be fully ironed out after the full patch. I'm currently using the updated beta patch.
But my question is this. On my board confidence screen, for the bar for CL, the board aim / goal was for me to reach the semi's. Now having done this i'd have expected to see the bar be green and full?? But its only about 60% full?
Surely I've reached my aim / goal and the bar should be full??
No, I think that's right. If you reach their target, then they will be satisfied because thats the least they expect. If you got to final, then they will be happier because you exceeded their targets.

It's a combination of the cumulative match confidence ratings and what stage you reached. It's not just about getting there but how you do it.
Realistic? I'm not convinced but that's just my opinion.
I can understand the cumulative match confidence idea but I qualified top of my group with 5 wins and a draw. In the 1st round I beat Lyon 4-2 away and then 2-0 at home. Then in the quarters I beat AC Milan 2-1 away and then 2-1 at home to reach the semi's! Which is where i'm currently at.
But I met my goal surely??
I'm Arsenal by the way, so with the current squad i'd have thought beating Lyon and AC were huge results!

So say in your working life, irl, if you met all your targets set at the start of the year. But your boss says "Regardless of you achiving all the goals we set at the start of the year, i'm still only 60% satisfied with you, so now pay rise and a "not achived" mark for your appraishal"!!
I think that the middle of the confidence bar is the 'expected' result, if you go higher than that, then you've exceeded expectations; go lower, and you've underperformed.
Otherwise, if you had, for example, a Blue Square South side, with minimum expectation of reaching the First Round of the FA Cup, the confidence bar would be the same if you reached the First Round as if you won it!

You'd be happy?
You'd say that was fair? </BLOCKQUOTE>
I've only worked for 3 companines but they all gave standard payrise for fulfilling agreed targets and performance quota's. If you want more then you are expected to use your own initiative to improve the companies business and if you didnt meet targets you got under the agreed payrise.
So yes based on my experience I'd say this part of confidence is fair and working as intended although there is a lot of its that not fair or just plain bugged.

Yeh, the confidence is one area I want fixed.
Playing in BS National, I am targeted with 1st round. I get to 4th and lose 6-2 away to Blackburn. I beat a 1st and 2nd Div club in 2nd and 3rd rounds respectively.
My board in only about 60% pleased with the 4th round and extremely unhappy about the 6-2!
How can they (and the fans) be bloody angry about being outscored 6-2 by a Premier League side!
Now if I'd have only reached the 1st round, then I would expect 60%, anything beyond that should be 100%.
