Default Long term expectations problem

I started with Malaga and the long-term expectation was "to be a major player in the Spanish 2nd division by the end of the 4 year plan".

Won the 2nd division first season so now I'm in La Liga but the board keep telling me they are "deeply upset you appear to be making no attempt to fulfil the long-term expectations" and I'm gonna get sacked any day. On the confidence bar the long term expectation bit is entirely blank. Seems I've done too well and would probably be better off getting relegated because the game can''t comprehend what's gone on.

Any way around it? Because like I say I'm pretty sure I'm gonna be sacked at the end of the 4th season if not earlier

Patching appears to make no difference the "new and exciting" confidence feature is pretty much pointless except as an easy way to get sacked.

Haven't patched it, no. Seems it isn't worth it as Carlos says anyway.

Have you tried to ask for extra time to rebuild the squad or something similar? Maybe that will make them wake up.

It's best to pretty much ignore what people say about the game on here - there's no harm in trying the patch and deciding for yourself.

If you don't like the patch you can re-install the game without it, takes about five to ten minutes.

From the patch changelog:

Quote:
Board Confidence
================
- Got long-term expectations to update quicker once a team has effectively finished thier season (e.g team wins league with 10 games to go).
- Fixed long-term expectations confidence level getting set to zero if team gets to a higher division than it's long-term expectations and stays in that same division the following season.
- Got the board to offer new contracts to managers around 2 months before the end of thier deals instead of the existing one month, if deals get to that stage.

Youve gotta admit that the confidence feature is still pretty bugged though.

I wouldnt say it's "bugged" but it needs a lot work and tweaking.
