I know people have brought this up before but it still has ways of sneakin up on you doesn't it.
For example today I got a news item asking about my poor run of form and what I would do I have lost 3 games out of 5 and won 2 with a team predicted relegation so it isn't like im losing every game, But anyway all the responses were things about buying new players and one was denying poor form and the last option was that you admit we arent playing to potential and I am willing to try new tactics. So I chose the last option and it said "you have very strongly critisised your players" WTF I said I would change MY tactics I took the blame but that counts as saying my players are **** apparently and now they all want to leave and hate me I know its my own damn stupid fault for not clicking no comment buy why oh why did SI leave in such a broken, pointless and stupid feature into the game its like team talks theres no variety and its just very poorly done.
I agree that it needs some work as it's a side of the game I would *like* to enjoy more.
I now find myself responding "no comment" to most contact by the press about my chances in forthcoming games. The most frustrating part here being that even if you're odds on favorite to hammer the team in question, by stating this to the media, even some of the stronger willed players are often left feeling "pressured".
I reserve my stronger comments for opposing team managers, which is quite good fun - especially when you say they should pack in the game & become a pundit!
I'm sure that given the posts on the subject, they will be taking this more seriously and hopefully making it work better. Given it has appeared in the game, is gradually improving, I believe that SI are aiming to make an "interactive" managerial experience possible. I think we're still in the early days of this aspect of the games progress though to be honest.
