Transfer Enquiry Revamp? Thoughts and Improvements.
The transfer process has vastly improved over the last couple of FM's but i feel there is still something 'realistic' missing. I'll set the scene:
I'm manager of Arsenal high flying at the top of the league but im fed-up with my inherited foreign squad so want some english blood pumped into the back bone of my team. I approach Newcastle for James Milner's signature, i go about unsettling him by claiming my interest to the press and he gladly accepts my praise.
We've now struck up some rapor but that's where i hit the wall, i put in a decent offer of £12.75m plus 35% of any future transfer. Newcastle respond with a firm no, so i go back to Tyne and state name your price then (by clicking enquiry) but they refuse to negotiate... here's where something needs to happen.
I'm not sure what it needs to be but something involving meeting the player, his manager and the chairman. A kind of negotiating table needs to be set out so that you can get a response and a possible price for clubs top players and English talents.
This also has the benefit of making your club have a good transfer history with other clubs, much like Man Utd and Newcastle have. This could also be included as a new feature in the club information screen.
Obviously im not saying every transfer needs a meeting with the clubs chairman and directors but im saying it should be an option there to be able to take your time through things and save money. Much like the unsettling process does now. Instead of throwing money at the employers club you unsettle the employee first and then offer less than usual.
