i know the data files need to be deleted to get a 'real' Germany and have done it numerous times before, but I cant for the life of me find them now!

A little help please, also what is 'Team Holland' and 'Make me Chairman'

you need to go to your football manager file.

open up the data folder, then go into a folder called db, click on the 800 file, then go into the inc file then click on all.

You will see a file called fake. now i've forgoten the 3 letters after the full stop, but all you need to is change these letters to .bak.

Due to the licensing restrictions on the game not all the national teams have legitimate players. This can be easily corrected by removing the file that creates a 'mask' on the effected teams. To get rid of the 'mask' go to 'C:/Program Files/Sports Interactive/Football Manager 2008/data/db/800/lnc/all' and remove the file 'fake' inc (don't delete the file) and when you now start a new game the correct squads for ALL the national teams will be available.

that tells you about the make me chairman file but i dont realy understand it,

and i dont have a clue about the team holland thing, sorry

AFAIK "team Holland" does the same for the Netherlands team, while "Make me Chairman" is a file where you can specify a new chairman for a club in the future. I don't know the specifics, though...
But both .edt and .lnc files can be opened in a text editor, and there's some instructions in some of the files themselves.

Also, I think you can delete all the .lnc files in the "all" folder, seems they're all fake filters.
