Not sure if this is a bug, or if it's only me:

I'm playing in Spain with Osasuna and my B team has achieved division 2 status. However even though I manually assign squad numbers for my B team (and those players are able to compete in matches during August), as soon as the registration window closes they are all "ineligeble" to play.
I've tried reloading and setting the squad numbers again and again for both B team and A team, but while there are no problems with my first squad has no problems, none of my B players are able to play in a game. Highly annoying.

Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong/if it's a bug?

It's a well known bug. Makes it unplayable in Spain and have also heard it effects French and German games as well.

Hm, kind of takes the charm out of managing in Spain if one can't gleefully lure superior players to one's b-team with the promise of a chance in the 'real' side. Guess I'm starting a new team for Christmas.

Agreed. There are some fixes to get round this problem in the bugs forum thread, but they seem to work for some and not the others.

If this was a problem with the english league no doubt SI would have released a fix immediately. Now we have to wait til the Feb patch.

Well it IS rather annoying if one plays a team with several young talents coming through. If this is a difficult thing to fix, I would suggest just removing the need for registration in the leagues in question until such a time as as things can be mended completely (not realistic but certainly more fun than this).
