Yes I have a problem with my balls (snigger)..

I there are guides on here but they all seem to overlook installing balls.

Basically I've downloaded a ball and installed it to graphics/pitch/balls as instructed but they the original ball continues to appear in the game despite restarting/unticking skin cache etc etc.

Have I got to delete the original ball or something first before the game recognises the ball that I've downloaded??

Any help much appreciated, thanks!

The Directory should be:

My Documents/Sports Interactive/Football Manager 2008/

Now if you are using a downloaded skin, Place the balls in:

Skins/SKIN NAME/Graphics/Pitch/Balls

But if you are just using the default skin, Then place them in:

Graphics/Pitch/Balls

Then make sure your Skin Cache is Unticked and Always Reload Skin Is Ticked.
