I have Martins & Owen upfront xD is there a way of using them both as "run onto ball" target men? i don't want to favourite one as they are both goal scoring machines! (even though Martins is faster, Owen is better at "running the line" (not being a linesmen)) ?
It really depends on your tactic and how its set up. Run Ont Ball would generally imply that distribution to them would have to be direct whereas Short would probably suited to To Feet. To be honest, I've never tried having 2 Target Man. I've put the fastest as TM and even then, the other striker does get his fair share of goals.
hmm, thanks anyway guys, i'm gonna start dafuge's challenge with your tactics (Aston) on the newest patch! maybe if i do go back to Newcastle save i'll check "use targetman" and make it "run onto ball" and not select anyone?! might work, hopefully won't be going back to Newcastle save for a long time due to my Gateshead (dafuge challenge) save! thanks guys
GL with your Dafuge's challenge, I've just started my 2nd season and I'm doing well so far 2 wins out of two - just need to write an end of 1st season report now
Make sure you have plenty of players playing through balls. I like to set the fullbacks to "often" and everyone else to mixed (sometimes the AMC and/or wingers also to "often"). I think the through ball and counter attacking are more important than target man.
