i've had a pretty succesfull career so far and last year i was offerd the real madrid job. So far ive managed all sorts of teams except the absolute Topteams.
A half year into my new job and im stuck with lote of problems. My previously succesfull 433 (ajax type) formation is now failing misarably. the scoring, dominating and generally overachieving is gone.
The major problem is that i cant get my superstars to excell. they all are between 6.90 and 7.30, no one is scoring like a maniac or is excelling in any way.
I cant seem to find a succefull tactic, training or motivation to really play the great football that my players should be capable of.
in all fairness i am still second in the primera division and the board is still delighted, but i am not.
I cant seem to find a succesfull way to manage a topclub.
The main problem with the "top" sides in the game is that they tend to have a pre-set tactic that they use all the time. The best way to view this is to look in the database for their preferred formation.
For example, Manchester United are set to 4-4-2 but Milan have a 4-1-2-1-2 policy. The best thing to do with a better club is to think simple. After all, they have the most able players!
Sticking to one of the ready-made formations is always a good way of pushing forward, but if you wish to tweak, just consider their strengths in real life.
Like Arsenal rely on quick passing with lots of creative freedom, but Manchester United thrive on counter attacking and changes of pace? Just adopt similar tactics to their in real life stance and you should get the results on the pitch.
Hope this helps.
I have tried that,
no significant result, my defense although being te best defenders in the wordl seem to make 1 mistake per match. and thats how i lose. concentration is down, topstrikers fail 1 on 1.
