1 game in... It works pretty well both in terms of attack and defence. Shame the goalkeeper just punts the ball upfield regardless of what you tell him to do.

Playing without a striker - Can it be done? Post #3
I don't use the sliders for team instructions (except to give it a deep defensive line) because I override them with individual instructions.
I'll try to do a more detailed post later. Looking forward to moving into next season and perhaps using this a bit more as I'll be adding Anderson, Nani and Tevez to the Rooney, Ronaldo, Giggs, Modric combo I've used so far.

Playing without a striker - Can it be done? Post #5
I've had the opposition play 4-5-0 against me when they had a player sent off, and it worked pretty well for them on the break as there were 5 runners for my back 4 to cope with, however in normal play it was to easy for my players to close the midfield down and deny them room.
In general a striker is vital, even if you've had 4 players sent off (I played 4-2-1 with WB's when that happened to me once and managed to hang on to my one goal lead for the final 30 minutes).

You didn't play a goalkeeper for the last 30 mins, and you still hung onto a lead?

Hehe, the 4-5-0 means 0 strikers, not keepers
