Though I'd contribute with my custom 442 which has won Bologna three consecutive Serie A titles, the first one as a newcomer with relatively poor personel.
Don't know how to upload tactics so I'll walk you through it. The emphasis on this tactics is on winning games, not possession football or playing pretty. The priciple is defending well and quickly moving the ball up to our strikers and attacking wingers before the opp have time to organize.
Team instructions:
Mentality: Home/favorite: ~12 Away/underdog: ~7
Passing: ~14
Tempo: ~14
Creative Freedom: 10
Time Wasting: 10 (could raise to around 15 late on)
Defensive Line: Depending on the opp; low if playing on the counter against tough opp with pacy forwards; high if I want to put alot of pressure on the opp at home.
Tackling: Medium
Closing Down: High (~17)
Target man should be checked "To head".
All players should also have their crossing aim set to target man. I also make sure he plays agaist the opp defender who's weakest in the air.
Here's how I position my players and their personal instructions if different to team instructions:
ST (target man): Must be very dominating in the air eg. jumping and heading at least 18, pref 20; other stats are secondary as his main responsibility is to win everything in the air.
Forward Runs: Mixed or Rarely; Run with ball: Mixed; Mentality: ~12; Creative Freedom: ~10 Closing down: ~7; Passing: ~10
ST (goal getter): Should be fast as lightning, with good finishing and dribbling skills.
Mentality: ~15; Creative freedom: ~12;
Forward Runs: Often; Run With Ball: often; Closing down: ~7; Crossing: Mixed or Often; Passing: ~10
AM R + AM L (no arrows): Preferably with good attacking flair + pace.
M: ~15; CF: ~12; FR: Often; RWB: Often (if dribbling and pace is good enough); Long Shots: Rarely or mixed; Crossing: Often if stats are good. Closing Down: ~7; Passing; ~8
2 MCs (with arrows down to DM): Should be two legbreakers with the priority on defensive stats.
Mentality: ~5 or team; FR and RWB: Mixed or rarely; Tackling: Hard if stats are good;
DL+DR: Although defensive stats are a priority, some pace and crossing ability won't do any harm.
Mentality: Team; FR: Often if good coming forward at home, otherwise Mixed/rarely; RWB: Mixed; Closing down: Team; Crossing: Often if good stats;
2 DCs: Mentality: ~3 FR: Rarely; RWB: Rarely; CF: ~4 Closing Down: I like my quickest DC to be on ~14, and his partner to be on ~5 to complement each other.
Would be interesting to hear how others will do with this tactics. Give it a go, why don't you!
Thought I'd bump this one up to the top by saying I won the first 12 matches of the new Serie A season, scoring 24 and conceding only 3, of which 2 were penalties.
Right, this will be my final attempt at getting my tactic some attention.
Season 4 in Serie A at the half way point is all but over; my Bologna side is now 12 points clear with a record of 17-1-0, and a goal difference of 38-5. We have only conceded a single goal in open play after 18 games.
^Well, firstly I don't really care if anyone believes my record, as this isn't meant as a bragging thread (well maybe a little ).
Secondly, I don't think there's much more info needed. Or what would that be? The tweeks I use are based on my current set of players and the match situation where facing and there's no need to post that, is there?
Hi mate i wanna give it a try so i am going to tell you how top upload it if you go to FMdownloads.net and become a member which only takes 1 miniute then at the bottom of the page you can upload your tactic also there is a direct link to fmdownloads at the top of the tactic and training tips forum
Yeah, uploading is a good idea if you want people to test. I read through the intructions and it looks really good. There is obviously a lot of thought and you do your homework on the opposition, so not surprised you get the success :thup:
