I've been thinking of a scenario and i finally thought of one i experienced:
Its the second leg in the champions league, I'm Newcastle, the opposition are a worser team (i know for sure, although they aren't rubbish, Newcastle are better) I won the first leg and they was winning the second so that they were 1/2 goals ahead on aggregate and i didn't have the away goals rule in favour, they started with 4-4-2 with long farrows on wingers and didn't change until the 80th minute when they went 4-1-4-1, I've always read/thought that the idea was to counter the opposition, and if i went attacking before the 80th minute i'm pretty sure the opposition would've scored, so my point is i find this really unrealistic, don't you?
Also this isn't just a one-off this has happened many times before, i'm just trying to give you an idea of the situation
Ive always had the most success changign formations according to the AI set up. The AI will generally change formation at some point according to what is happening, and I suggest doing the same.
find the best counter to any particular AI style and edploy accordingly. The AI def 442 is the most common (especially after you have been winning a lot of games) and a I have found a 442 is the best answer to this
i don't think you understand what i mean, if the opposition are playing attacking and they are winning on aggregate in that situation, if i go attacking then they'll score again!
