rashidi1,
I respect your decision but I think there is a clear difference between azhar123 comment here and some sort of "arguments" occurred in the previous thread.
I am sure programmers do their best to make this game better and better. We all want everything at once, which is not possible. However if someone can help make next step to improve the game, imo funs would be the first to ask. The fact is we do not know if any opinion from these forums will be taken into account, hence there is a doubt SI is going to move in the direction we would prefer. If you can suggest any source of information on future development (except for wwfan's SI meeting ), it would be great.

As my post instigating the closure I would like to firstly apologise to neon for destroying his thread. However, I have finally achieved my last remaining ambition on these boards, which is to be directly responsible for the closure of a thread so I'm not that sorry
In all seriousness though, I don't think arteta's response warranted a closure. I certainly didn't feel insulted and regard myself as little more than a reasonably intelligent chimp anyway (sorry if that offends any Creationists). I would much prefer to have passionate arguments allowed even if they do get over passionate sometimes. Arteta lost his sense of humour for a second, reacted, recanted. It can happen to the best of us.
We all ultimately want the same thing, a constantly improving FM. Neon's previous thread actually offered a little more than its 'parting plea to SI' competitor because its opening post was 'how to improve things' rather than 'bye, SI, I'm sick of you'. Yes, there are views that can't be changed but the discussion between both sides offers an interesting dialectic about FM, and as all dialectics are healthy I respectfully suggest they be encouraged rather than closed. There is a reason that 8 months after its release there are so many critical threads, and I think that reason should be debated as much as possible. Even if the two sides never agree, open debate is fundamental to a forum, even when (especially when) it gets heated.

Your rights to post will be restored in a months time. However I suggest you take this warning seriously. You have continually shown a blatant disregard for the rules of the forum

| Open debate is fine, I actually did like the other thread a lot because a lot of valid points were raised. I really do not want to close another thread like that again.

I've decided to perform some experiment. I have modified my database, so that my team (Inter) has every player at 200 CA and 200 PA.
I put my tactic and off to go on holidays. So far, here is my record:
15-0-0, 57 for 7 against in the Serie A.
With this result, I cannot say the game cheats.
I will see how it goes in the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th season.

I would like a constructive discussion on... Time Wasting - As above, my team do it automatically at the end of a game, why, if there is a slider set for the task?. Throw-Ins - Does'nt matter who i set to take them, the full backs always take over and as 90% of my throw-ins go straight to the opposition, this leaves me somewhat compromised at the back?.
These are just two of a whole host of basic problems that i cannot seem to make a difference to in my tactical set-up?.

Hi 2ndchance,
When set to mixed (close to 10) your players make decisons as how much timewasting to do. The situation of the game has a bearing on their decisons. Without the slider this would be the case all the time.
As the manager you may which to instruct your team to not waste time or to ramp it up in the dying minutes.
If you don't feel the need to use timewating then leave it on normal 10 and let your players make there own decisons about wasting time.
With the throw-in's, again I haven't found any problems. I set up the taker and usually set them to take short throws unless I have a really good long throws player. To be fair I usually set my fullback to do this so can't comment about other positions being set and the fullbacks taking them.
Why not make a list of your basic problems and we can discuss them. As many people who struggle, some have great success tactially. Perhaps we can help you.
