I think that in this version defensive line has been totally revamped. In FM07 the DL slider was broken (or at least we weren`t able to watch it`s effect). The most important effect that I observe is that the position of the players is more determined by defensive line. Mentality does not affect positions so much, but when I raise DL slider, my whole team play further up the pitch. I think that there is not "one" mentality.
I think that that mentality is relative to each position: one for defenders, one for midfielders and one for strikers. If I have (for example) Daniel Alves as my fullback, I play him with an attacking mentality (no matter that he`s a defender) because he is an "attacking minded" fullback. Not that he is going to play like a striker because he has attacking mentality, but he will play like an attacking defender. That`s my opinion.
