In an assistant manager the most important things I suppose are:
1. Tactical knowledge (as he'll be taking charge of your reserves and U18 teams)
2. Working with youngsters (same as above)
3. Judging player potential and current ability (very useful when offering contracts and also coach reports)
4. Motivating (useful in team talks)
Besides these, it'll be very useful if he's got a 7* rating in atleast one coaching aspect.
That should be about it I suppose. Wont hurt if he's got knowledge about players from a few countries either.
