Denmark`s football leagues are among the least-played leagues in the football manager world. With my new club, Brønshøj BK, i plunged into bottom of the league system; the 2nd division west/east. Here`s a summary of my first season;
Brønshøj BK
7th place predicted
9 players out, 5 players in
The board hunted me the whole season with the 50K debt of the club.
The Tingjberg stadium has 3000 seats...but only around 500 spectators.
The team started out very weak, with only 2 goals in 5 matches. At that moment i brought in Jeppe whatshisname, with 10 goals in the first half of the season, he proppeled the team to 5 place.
After the winterpause, Jeppe got injured for 6 months. My player of the year, Patrick Trondberg, scored just enough goals to ed in 4th place. The 1st team would be promoted, the 2nd would go to the playoffs. But apparentley, the 3 clubs in front of Brønshøj were second teams and couldn`t be promoted. So, with a terrible squad, we were kicked up to the 1st division.
With a month to go, bad predictions, 50K budget and a squad comparable to Morecambe, i have to survive the league. Can someone give me the names of players capable and willing to play for me?
I`ll update this discussion everyday with promising players, troublesome clubs and Brønshøj`s progress.
Brøndby I.F. are usually a club known for producing great young prospects - like the Laudrup brothers, Peter Schmeicel, Daniel Agger etc. See if you can loan players there. Daniel Agger's cousin Nkolaj Agger, plays for Brøndby's youth - maybe you can get him on loan...
My only parent club is Lyngby if, 5th in the superliga. they only send me some Bulgarian rubbish in the person of Stelian Trasborg. I tried to rent the whole reserve team but Copenhagen was mercyless.
I wouldn`t be managing Brønshøj if i had know that there is a bee with three f legs in the logo. SonderjyskE, Odense BK and Fredericia have an equal chance of winning, according to the bookies. My guess is Odense, they signed a lot of sas ligaen veterans like Morten Karlsen
Is Anders Qvist from Nordsjaelland any good? My scout said i must contract him.
Mate, you should be managing AGF in the superliga - a sleeping giants in danish/scandinavian football. They were promoted from 1st div. last season. Maybe a challenge there bringing them back in Europe
ehhh, AGF is relegated to my division now (and in the real world they`re just above the relegation line)and Aarhus Fremad was relegated to the second division east so i don`t think i`ll be moving to Aarhus anytime soon.
My Brønshøj is really lacking defenders and Lyngby don`t have any for me. Strikers are plentyfull around Tingjberg stadium and i have one of the strongest midfields of the league. But my defence....serious, the average age of my defenders is 34.
i`m still in pre-season but i really need a new defender. Luckily, holland has a lot of good amateurs. And coincidentally, holland is my speciality and nation.
