Hello i did reed the guidelines but i didn´t find my answers there.

I´m playing LLM for the first time and i need to know 1 things

1: A player that is Free transfer..is it ok for me to "search" for free transfer players ore how should i find them ?

2: the same thing with Bosman.. players that contract is expiring. can i search for bosman players ?.. ore how should i find them ?

Don't use the search screen. Period. Use your scouts, they'll find some freebies, as well as some players whose contracts are expiring.

The exceptions are loans, in which it’s fine to use the player/staff search using minimum filters (e.g. for loan, free). Some feel that players that you loan in should be first discovered by your scouts.

something about free there.. but ok.. only for loans ?

Depends on how much of a LLM Zealot you are. I only try and loan players my scouts find: I never use the player search filter for finding loan signings.

I think the best option is to stay clear of the search screen.

The game CAN be played by doing so, unless you use a small'ish DB, which is, in all means, not recommended for LLM. Of course, in the very start it will be harder, but I consider that only a consequence of going for realism.

Some LLaMas do use search for frees/loans when in a crisis in the first year. Just to get some names on their shortlist.

I tend to use/sign greys instead of using the search personally. It really doesn't take long for your scouts to start turning players up.

Are there actually people here that have scouts that work?

I'm six months into my season and my scouts have found the glorious total of three players. I finally had to resort to Miles' suggested player search solution to make the game playable until the patch is released and I can start over properly. Unfortunately there's another bug in the search option that makes it frustrating to use. I have tried everything, even a complete re-install, but the scouts will simply not give me any reports at all.. not even after months of sending them out over and over again.

I have a solution for that: go back to FM 2006 until '07 is patched.

Appreciate this is blasphemy but what is so wrong with using player search?

It's like a manager in real life watching videos and reading through lists of players with certain profiles.

Don't see what is unrealistic about it.

(I tend to get most of my players actually just sniffing around other teams, not scouting, while playing rather than player search. Heaven help any club that has a good game against me, they don't have a squad the next day.)
