I'm sure I'll find various random rubbish to write about now and again.
And aside from the off the pitch incidents which wouldn't ordinarily happen at that level of football, I saw enough to encourage me to go on a much more frequent basis. I only tend to go to Newcastle matches once or twice a season, but as I have Saturdays free (for the moment anyway) I may start going more often.
Standard idiocy is one thing. The most confounding part is the FC United fans singing about cryogenically revived Norwegians and pretend-card waving Portugese. /boggle
Sounds like an entertaining match, you'll always get the idiots at the likes of manure II and they think because they're manure that they can throw their weight around.
I occasionally go to Holmer Green in the Spartan South Midlands Premier Division which is also 4 levels below the conference and the crowd is rarely more than 80-100 and it's always fairly entertaining.
It's nice to watch football at this level as you don't feel quite so attached compared to going to Watford week in week out and my second team Hemel i now find myself more involved.
I see very little justification for yet more mancunian football. If they are so disillushioned with their team, why don't they go and support one of their other local clubs like bury or altrincham or, more likely, gillingham.
Sounds an interesting match, only to be marred by a group of tw@ts after the game.
I could go to games at the equivelant level (Combined Counties Premier) which is where the most local semi pro side is, but that would mean a) Going to the inbread, chav-filled, pikey town of Chertsey, and b) Not going to Woking games.
Ain't going to happen, although, I do plan on going one step lower at least once this season, to see Westfield play, as they are groundsharing with us this season.
