Personally in the spirit of LLM this is negative

Also, say for instance your feeder club offers you a player, under LLM

rules do you scout the player? before deciding to loan him or is an

exemption made?
Or can you assume, that the other club will tell you all about this player and since they're your friends they won't tell you fibs?

That would be a good enough reason.

Aren't Tottenham and Stevenage Borough affiliated in some way? I can't think of any others though tbh!

Chris, I'm sick of looking up all the supposed "affiliations" that are being spouted off/guessed at.

When someone throws two Clubs into the mix go to www.soccerbase.com and look at the numbers of transfers and loans that have taken place between them.

I've been doing five seasons, you could go back 15, and there's been nothing to substantiate any of the guesses.

One Crewe player going to Liverpool( ) (in 1997) and one Liverpool( ) player going to Wrexham on loan (last season).

Feeder Clubs in YooKay are non-existant.

In the game though, the agreement between Liverpool and Crewe is not one based on players, it is a financial one. I suspect the same would be true for Tottenham-Stevenage. There is a friendly between the two clubs at the smaller club's groud with all revenue going to the smaller club.

Liverpool and Wrexham aren't linked in any way at all (on the game) although they were suggested by the board when I asked if they might consider getting one, along with two Belgian clubs so that I could send players there on loan to get EU nationalities.

You are correct that feeder-clubs within the UK are fairly non-existant but in the game "links" between are not necessarily in the form of one club being a "feeder" (ie supplier of players) to the other.

In FM07 Tamworth are alledgedly linked to Coventry - they can exchange players.

I tried to loan each and every single player Coventry has (1st team, reserves and youth), just to see what would go.

Nothing goes. Mostly Coventry don't want to loan them to me and those players I am allowed to loan won't even consider playing for us. (Rightfully so, I hasten to say - Tamworth are dire, well worth consideration for when the real thing is here  )

This feature seems to be broken, so I don't think it'll become much of an issue

No, i don't think it is. From what I've heard, it's easier to get your loan offer accepted, but there will be no difference in the player's oppinion of your club, it will be the same (ie: I'll never join you, you're crap).

The main problem is that the game does use feeder clubs, even if you decide not to use that feature. Which means that other lower league teams will loan in young players from bigger clubs. It´s not that excessive in the demo, but I don´t know how it works in the long term.

The feeder club system is something that does not work very well in real football. In reality it's more about to have a place where you can park some young talents from South America and Africa and wait and see how they adopt to european football.

I would prefer an option that you can choose feeder/parent clubs available or not at the start of the game.

It's not a problem; it's been said for ages that we don't care if the AI isn't limiting itself in the same way that we do concerning realistic transfers and loans.
