LLM newbie here; glad I found you lot as I've always played in the same spirit if not always exactly the same limits.
This isn't how I was planning to introduce myself but I've got a question. Started my first full LLM game at Fisher and survived 1st season in Conference South (this is not an update!). Just gone into second season and I'm now in Conference North. Is this possible or should I report it as a glitch? Anyone know how the teams are divided geographically - it's a bit iffy here in the East Midlands with Kettering going North and Diamonds (under 10 miles south) going South. But Fisher A.

Welcome IJ, that definately sounds like a bug. But it has made me wonder about somthing. I think it is 2 conference north and two conference south teams that get promoted. So to keep the numbers straight 4 conference national teams would need to be relegated. So what happens if the 4 worst teams in the Conference national were all from the south? Anybody know how that is handeled in real life?

Logic would be that the two "most northern" Conference South teams be place in Conference North.

I think the division should be made like this:

Take the 24 teams located more to the North and put the in Conference North. The rest goes to Conference South.

I might be just plain stupidly wrong, though.

This has come up before. I don't know how it works exactly, but the game does do a 're-sort' each season to get the Conference North and South even.

However, if you want to be thorough, you could look through all the teams in both divisions and sort them by longitude to see if there are any glaring inconsistencies... and then report it as a bug.

Since Fisher are in Sarf Lahndan, it's pretty unlikely they'll get shifted to Conf. N. unless a whole mess of South Coast clubs get into the Conf. Regional.

Worcester have been relocated to the Conference South on mine as so many teams relegated form the Conference were Northern.

Might be worth mentioning if you think it is an unrealistic club to be swapped.

It happened in previous versions as well. By all means mention it in the Bugs Forum, but I'd be surprised (albeit pleasantly) if it gets sorted out.

Although (and I don't know if implemented in the game) clubs shouldn't be forced to move twice within a three season period, so some overlap is not unreasonable. Also looking at the real life line-ups, the rough dividing line seems to be slighty further north on the eastern side of the country.
