Teams that despite being in a division typically considered suitable for LLM play, are too big or dominant at that level to be a challenge.
In bygone days this might have been Rushden and Diamonds, who were at one time considered the "Man Utd of the Conference", and thus not really suitable for LLM play.
Are there any clubs in the current version that fall into this category?
I'm currently playing in Wales, and I'd say that playing as TNS in the Welsh league is not really "LLM" for example, as they are by far the dominant force.
As usual, most teams in the German regionals are "sleeping giants". It's still quite hard to get them to the top, since Germany is a tough country but lots of LLaMas do not enjoy playing there for these reasons. It's just weird spending millions and millions while playing in the lowest league there.
Agree with you on TNS. They are 'expected' to win every season at the moment. In my current '07 game they are the only team getting loans in and making purchases from English League clubs (i.e. League 2 or above).
Weymouth were considered another LLGiant last season, and considering their current position in the Conference National, this seems to be borne out. Whether any of the current crop have the same potential I couldn't say.
Quite a few of the Scottish Divison 3 clubs could be said to be sleeping giants, historically, but the financial situation in Jockland seems to be keeping them humble presently.
Kettering seem "easy", they're unbeatable so far in my game. One game is weak as empirical evidence though, anyone else got games where they've stormed the league?
I pretty much go with the media expectation: every start I've made so far I picked the team that is expected by the media to end last in the division. Works a treat: I often do. (end last in the division )

Yes i also adopt the similar technique for instance with Fisher
None of the current Conference North/South teams really stand out from the rest at the moment. Everybody there is fair game really right now, though obviously some are a bigger challenge than others.
Well there's Ferencvaros in Hungary: but as the header clearly states that they're not LLM, nobody should be coming in here updating as Ferencvaros anyway (especially seeing as Frank "accidentally" forgot to include them in his list).
There are a few teams in Eastern European countries who've been relegated and docked points for (I assume) financial irregularities also. I can't remember them off the top of my head, though.

Huh? Do you mean Dumbarton and Queen's Park? I'd hardly call either sleeping giants, but they did have success during Scottish football's formative years. A wee while ago now, mind.
Cowdenbeath had a very successful period after the first world war, East Fife were once regarded as one of the top teams in Scotland during the late 40s and early 50s and Elgin having some small success during the 60s and 70s - as you say, all a wee while ago now
