Im beggining my third season in charge at Workington Reds now and when England failed to qualify from a group at the Euros of France, Italy and Spain i applied for all the international jobs something i always do, surprisingly though this time the message came back 'England want Lister'!
I havent really earned the job finishing two above the drop in my first season and third in my second (lost the playoff final to Kettering) and i've done nothing in the cups, i have a regional manager rep
Anyone else managing Stevie G part time and part timers full time?

Enough said. I think plenty of have done the crap international management thing while also managing a club side, but usually only if we feel we've earned it.
I'm not saying ive been an awful manager just that it should take a large reputation/massive success to earn something i dont think the Conference North challenging as it is can provide you with.
I'm not saying you were awful either, but LLaMas rarely apply for international jobs, esepcially when still in Conf N/S. If they are approached it's a different story, but still some would use their "realism" radar and turn it down as unlikely.
I am playing in the conf atm, for the fifth season, after 2 in conf nth and 1 in Turkey. I was just offered the job of Republic of Ireland boss. I wrangled with it for a while but turned it down in the name of realism, I mean I'm a fecking 39yo aussie with 7.5 years experience managing pants players.
Their assman was world class too, and had great stats.
