Just started my first FM2007 LLM game. Randomized my team to be Moor Green...
Started off ok and stayed well above expectations but halfway through the season I notice that all of my opponents in the league have signed or loaned tons of players from higher leagues.
I haven't even been able to loan players from the reserves of non-league clubs, I am still playing with the squad I started the game with.
Needless to say, I don't stand the slightest chance against the players of division 1 and 2 standard that my opponents field against me. Is it simply time to face the music or am I missing some vital strategy for signing and loaning players that the AI employs?
On a second note I also noticed that my best players (both according to my own evaluation and my assistant) are my youth players. My obvious future tactic will be to start easing these players into the squad, is it a common occurence that lower league teams end up with a squad of teenagers a couple of years down the road?
The AI, indeed, doesn't play the LLM way. But since we can't flame the AI, we'll have to combat it with the meager means to our disposal. All the sweeter will the taste of victory be!
I agree, the computer has an advantage over you. I offered a player £400 (and signing on) a week as Braintree, but he goes to Cambridge City on £100 a week
To cap it all he bungs a hat trick past me in December and I lost 4-0 It did have a knock on effect though, soon after my team went on a the best run I've had so far in FM07
I specially like the feature where you are offered a player and you scout him, since he hasn't been scouted yet. AI just says accepts if ti looks half decent.
So much for LLM. it is like competing with tt & GPG fora members.
