Playing the game.
First thing to remember is…LLM is a way of playing the game, it’s not just playing with a Team from the Lower Leagues.
It is just a game, though. It’s counter-productive to get bogged down by rules, although there are a few guidelines which should be heeded in order to play the game in the LLM Spirit.
There’s a rule, though, which is best described as “set in stone”. Play the game as SI programmed it. That is, install the CM Game, apply the latest official SI Patch, Choose a Team and play the game. That means do NOT use editors or third party updates (i.e. Updates on squads, competitions, etc, made up by persons other than SI).
The reason for this is that playing LLM is about playing the game as realistically as possible. This means trusting the data provided by SI is as good as you can get. Third Party Updates are done by persons who may be tempted to give an advantage/disadvantage to favourite/hated Clubs or Players – note MAY. It doesn’t benefit SI to provide faulty data, so steer clear of other updates.
Editors (The Spawn of Satan) are banned for two reasons. They can corrupt your game and they allow you to cheat, whether it’s producing super-players or swapping Teams from one Division or Nation to another.
Call me stupid but the rules do say to play the game as SI intended it. So unless you're going to put a disclaimer at the bottom saying *unless done by a llama. Then changing the commentary files should be as big a no no as putting the Old Firm into the English leagues.

This is a clear case of playing to the spirit, not the letter of the 'law'. Changing commentary files could never influence the result of the game, so it can't be and isn't cheating or even grey.
Same as removing the whatchamacallit files that bring back the Dutch and German national squads. In fact, removing those enhances the realism of the game, so they would well fit into an addendum to the LLM guidelines.

| Then that would mean it's also a no-no to use skins. Nobody in here feels as though it's wrong to do that. As DJ said, it's about playing to the spirit.

Ok fair enough guys, I was not aware of that and was only going on what information was available to me.
Bovill306, I apologize for my earlier comments.
What are these fake files that are referred too anyway? Something about the German and Dutch squads? I did notice that they were not right.

| If you look at the Dutch and German national squads the real players aren't there, instead you have the greyed out players who are just generated by the game. I don't know if this is every time you play or just sometimes. Apparently it has something to with licensing (spelling) so I guess it's everytime. If I remember correctly there have been a couple of previous Champ Mans where the Holland national team were never included either.
However, some whizz has found that there is a file somewhere that if you remove, the two squads will appear.
I personally feel that this, would add to the realism of the game but as the players are still there at thier clubs, I think, and the World cup has no bearing on how my Con South whipping boys perform, I will leave it as it is.
I will however try to work on a commentary file, which I will upload, this will be there for anyone who would like to try it. If it is something some of you believe shouldn't be done then I mean no disrespect by it. I just feel that some of the commentary doesn't fit well when your playing in the pits of English (or whatever nation you play in) football.

For instance "he puts the ball into row Z" in a 4000 or so capacity stadium just isn't right. Row Z would be poor Doris' greenhouse your player has just smashed two streets away.
