Hi all. I'm trying my hand at LLM in FM2007, having done the same with previous versions of FM and CM. One question that I have is with regards to wages, though strictly speaking, it's not related to LLM.
It seems that the lowest wage I can offer to players, when the wage requested by player is not stated, is 75 pounds. I'm wondering if there was any way to offer the player less than that amount, especially when said player deserves, at most, 40-50 pounds.
One may gather that after a while, having a squad of 20-25 players drawing close to 100 pounds a week would put a severe strain on the club's finances when the club is barely breaking even with the small crowds its 800-capacity stadium can contain. Add to that a few 'star' players that demand 250 a week, and surely that's enough to drive any small club into bankrupcy.
Someone did tell us on here how do this, but I am buggered if I can rememeber how. (Old age probably) :o
Something about clicking on the players current wage on the screen perhaps?
If it is an unattached player, then I do not know.
you can offer less than 75 GBP if said player demands less. Then, you can just click on what he demands a voila, the wage will be set to his wishes. You can alter it upwards to minimum 75 GBP.
The AM usually gives his opinion about the player, & what the club should offer him. If you click on this, you can then go lower if that is what he has suggested. Always seems a bit weird you can't just do this in the main screen.
Hmmm... didn't know I could click on the AM's suggested wages.
It does seem odd that SI doesn't allow us to define wages and other values, such as goal and assist bonuses, down to the nearest 5 or 10 pounds.
Right, thanx to you all. I'll go try it out, but I've handed the CD over to my "significant other" for 'safekeeping' as I'm having my uni exams till the end of the month.
