So after many games as my beloved Newcastle, even some games among the illuminati of Milan and Barcelona..Im doing LLM. I havnt done this since cm01/02

I picked Crawley in the English Conference because...well, why not? My aim is to stay clear of relegation. After a quick peruse of the players....this is going to be a hell of a hard season, even my Assistant manager has given up. I have a policy at a new club that, if they dont have a lot of money, i spend what they do have on my Backroom Staff and i intend to keep this...although Crawley dont have any

Im wondering what my best approach is though. Im tempted to just slam 5/6 players in defence at the start of every game and punt the ball up (i have a striker who has a 17 in heading and 10 in jumping so might be able to whack a couple in off his brown bread) I have always thought the lwoer leagues dont need a whole lot of tactical nuance involved, purely because the playuers arnt there.

Or i could always try and play my way out the league, get some wing play. The squad is relativly young though so im a bit wary of a taxing, attacking tactic.

I dont know. Try and scrape survival or go out to upset a couple of teams?

Hell, or just play the boring possesion football i can think of?

A couple of friendly pointers:

1. This is not the right forum for asking questions about tactics (RTFH etc).

2. For a true LLM experience you must start in the lowest playable league in a country (Conference N/S in England). I guess it is OK to start in the Conference to get back into the whole LLM way of playing, but it is not truly a LLM save.

Other than that: welcome to the forum

Ah sorry mate, i didnt actually realise i was asking for tactics help, i was more thinking aloud. I even read the guidlines aswell =/

I still think Crawley qualify as a LLM team though, maybe not in subject but in spirti. Lowest valued team out the conference >.>

Peesh, well, just can the thread, Ill start a game tracking thread later on

Conference is a good place to learn LLM. After a save beginning in the conference, you'd be expected to play the lowest playable divisions if you start another save.

As far as tactics are concerned, the only advice you'd get is something along the lines of :

Look at your squad. What formation would fit the players and what players can fit the formations you have in mind?

Crwaley is a stiff test and probably the hardest outside the bottom leagues in the game due to the 10 point penalty
