Anyone else noticed players performing incredibly well when playing out of their natural positions?
Last evening I was playing a match in which I was confortably winning 2-0 after 30 mins. Suddenly the AI turns everything upside down: the left-back starts playing as striker, right winger as CB, striker as RB, and so on. And the game turns into World War 3, there are shots coming in from every possible angle, it was as if my Stalybridge Celtic was suddenly playing Barcelona. By half-time I was 3-2 down (with a hat-trick from their newly striker-converted LB), and ended up losing 6-2.
The following game, the same thing happened (although the result was 0-0 at the time the players shifted positions, and I ended up losing 3-0). I stopped playing after that, and now I'm afraid of what will happen when I resume play tonight.
Of course I checked if that LB could somehow play as striker, but no, he was a natural LB who couldn't play in any other position. I think that the last time I noticed this type of behaviour was in CM 97/98.
Well, I posted this here because this is the only forum that I actually visit. And I don't know if this occurs in the top leagues, because I haven't played a game there.
I've tried to recreate this, as I didn't save the matches when it first happened. Since I always use two save files, I restored the one I had from before these two matches and repeated them. The AI tried the same thing again, switching players around on the field after going 2-0 down, and getting that magical LB upfront. Unfortunately this time they weren't so successful, and they've only managed to pull one back, ending up losing 2-1 (they've had a player sent off, which didn't help their cause).

If that LB has some sort of ability in SC (see positions) that just might be acceptable, but if they had adequate cover for that position (real SCs or Forwards) I still say it's reeking of a bug. Now that you got the game, you may as well give it to SI, let them judge?
