I just though I'd raise a tribute to anyone who has played LLM for more than a season! Its insanely Difficult! In my first season as vauxhall motors manager and its really difficult! I cant tell a bad player from a really bad player. I'm not going to give up and i'm going to continue to loose and get sacked until winsford utd refuse to hire me! Does it the depression get easier to cope with or is it always this painful?!
For some (bloody Jockmodbloke) the game is simple, for others it is extremely frustrating. I do not enjoy losing but that is what the game is all about.
I have one quick question then. Player search is bad, and signing a load of randoms at the start of the game is bad easy. What if i was to trial local players from the load of randoms? (bored and wanted to us me drivetime software at work) Then if they are any good sign them, sorta like scouting them myself.
It's an almost realistic way of siging dropped talent because obviosly on this game the chester city youngster that got dropped from their youth program isnt going to come to me for a trial i have to go to him. Can i do this in LLM? As a precaution i havent yet done it but it seems like a bit of a grey area or loop hole.
No it's not. I think it's just a question of keeping your expectations realistic and setting modest goals for yourself. Play for draws in games that are not winnable. Use trasnsfers to improve the team slowly and steadily.
I'm a stupid North American who knew very little about football before starting to play FM. Having a wonderful time playing Northwich Vic taking them into their 3rd season with LLAMA guidelines.
