Hi all

OK I have just started a new LLM game and noticed I had no scout. I have since placed an advert, but in 9 months no one has applied.

Ssooooooooo.....I was thinking about scouting players myself, by looking at the player league scores and choosing from there.

The question is: Would this be realistic? I know there is a system similar to this in real life in the UK called the "Actim Index". Sort of a real life scoring system.

Would this be acceptable?

Most people would say no, but its your game and if you think its realistic, its fine by me.

My preference in your situation is to use the search function for scout, unemployed. With the 8.01 patch however, its not been an issue for me.

I did think about using the search screen. However. Since I'm trying to stick to the rules of LLM as best as possible, that particular avenue is a no no .

Sod the guidelines, if my advert hadn't brought anyone in in that time, I'd have just signed someone.

Its not such a no no when looking for staff, or so my understanding goes.......

It's a no-no on the basis that the job centre works. If the job centre isn't working...

I've had the same problem, even with the patch.

With months on end, with no scout and no response to the adverts, you do face a moral dilemma about using the staff screen.

In the end, I though 'sod it' and used the staff search to help me find my scout.

There are those who won't use the search screens in any circumstances, but my view is it's ok to use the staff search to find a scout in extreme circumstances such as this.

I can't understand it, it's all covered in The Guidelines.

"...used as a last resort." 9 months with no applications is a "last resort" in anyone's books.
