Because some people don't enjoy sitting at their PC while they could be lounging on the couch with a wireless controller playing it on what is likely a larger viewing area? I don't think anyone thinks that the audience for the game on consoles anywhere near approaches that for the PC, but having your game on as many platforms as possible never hurts.

Not everyone owns a PC or it could be a shared 'home' PC. Their PC might also not be very good and they don't want to spend a lot of money on a new computer if they already have an Xbox 360 or would rather spend their money on a gaming machine than a personal computer.

Mostly yes, but that doesn't mean there can't be a game like ours on the console. We've done it twice before with CM 01/02 and 02/03 on the original XBOX.

Not meaning to be rude, but you haven't tried the Xbox 360 version or seen it in action yet. It's a bit different to playing on the PC with the different control system more suited to a console. The game also has some features not in the PC version, especially some of the Xbox Live stuff like playing one off competitions against your friends and gaining achievements and gamer points.

If you would rather play games on your Xbox 360 than your PC then it's probably best to get the Xbox version. If you want to take advantage of the Live stuff (which is awesome and will settle a lot of the 'my team is better than yours' arguements) then you can only do that in the Xbox 360 version.

The 360 isn't all about visuals: Xbox Live Arcade shows that it's all about the games, no matter how they look.

The number of people who play games on consoles greatly exceed those who play on a PC. As I'm getting older I appreciate being able to sit in a comfy chair by the fire instead of being hunched over a PC (which I've spent most of the day working on).

You have to remember that for a lot of people PCs are a royal pain in the butt with having to upgrade them and keep their software up to date. Of course if you are happy to shell out for a top end PC (I wish I could afford to but it's becoming more of a problem for myself in recent years) and you don't want the comfort aspect of playing consoles on a larger display whilst relaxing in that reclining chair then a console version isn't for you. But for many gamers playing the game on a console is very appealing and well done to SI for bringing their excellent product to as many as possible.

All we need now is SI to do a five-a-side football management that can be bought on the Xbox Live Arcade. You could use the retired great players for each team. I'd love to pick Dalglish and Rush in a Liverpool masters team.

Agreed!
Add to that the ability to be able to connect via xbox live to a 16 player network game as and when you please.
A faster game, having 3 dedicated processors instead of just the one a PC has.
All in all Im looking forwards to my 360 FM experience.
Especially the ability to grap a quick 10 mins on FM here and there, because at the moment on my PC it takes about 5 mins to get the game loaded and a further 5 to save, I imagine xbox will be way quicker.

Yeah, even though I've just shelled out money on a new laptop I'm looking forward to playing FM on the 360, basically because it's a stable platform and playing it wirelessly while laying in bed sounds fab.

Xbox Live and the achievements are bonuses too, but the integration of custom playlists are a huge factor. So long playing FM on Windows, you shall not be missed...

ok i get all your points en agree on some of them.
the live option should be awsum yes but its the same as playing online now right ?
well not the "playing one off competitions against your friends and gaining achievements and gamer points."

and for me i just love playing on the pc and have the tv on at the same time(as the pc is in the living room).
what makes this the best game in the world is that u can take your time playing the game and during play time u can talk to the wife/play with kids/watch some news etc etc.
and when playing on the xbox it seems to me as going to fast, for me that is.

but i get all your points and am not saying the xbox version will be bad but prob not for me.

me.
I have that set up with my 360, got it tucked away in the corner with a surround sound system and a 21" monitor, so its more like a pc system anyway.
I dont have a 50" HDTV yet so a monitor will do for now
