As you may or may not know, Ebbsfleet United announced that it will be the club which www.myfootballclub.co.uk is going to take over. How will this work in FM09?

forget fm09 they'll have to implement it in the data update for january won't they. erm... as for how, my guess would be that under chairman it'll be myfootballclub.co.uk and they will never leave the club they love and ... no, it's gone. i give up. i dunno.

Well, we will have to see how this experiment pans out and then amend the data accordingly.

There will not be any change for the patch, as any changes we would make now would be knee-jerk. It seems that the previous chairman will retain that title, but if he doesn't, then please let me know. Let's just wait to see how this progresses.

My understanding is he will stay on as Chairman but on the footballing side have near enough zero say on anything as it is all going to be decided by the fan group. A friend of mine has joined this and it is one big trust who will make all the major decisions and well make the team selection.
The manager will stay on but as a head coach and all he will do is train and give his thoughts. Transfers all have to be ratified by the trust also so yes 20 for interference.
My Football Club will own 51%.

There is already a team in israel who has been doing this already since the start of the year.

The team is Hapoel Kiryat Shalom and play in Israel's third ametuer division.

Their website is www.web2sport.com but is only in hebrew at the moment.

If anyone who speaks hebrew can investigate that site, it would probably give us a clue as to how MyFootballClub is likely to work.

Well one thing, the current manager has been changed to Head Coach. Could that be changed? Could the 'manager' be MyFootballClub.com? (Obviously you wouldn't be able to sign him/her/it.)

From reading something on the BBC site it seems Liam Daish will still pick "original" starting XI but then the fans can vote for changes.

So I suppose in the game you would pick your team then get a message along the lines of "The fans have mostly agreed with your team but wish to play xxxx at left back instead of yyyyy".

Talked about this months ago, and got a load of abuse in reply. The general consensus was that it was a scam that would NEVER happen. Shows what some people know.

As for HOW it should be handled (which was my original question before i got shouted down) the only response from SI was that someone had looked into it and it could never happen due to 3rd party control issues (or words to that affect) and so they weren't going to consider it.
The general opinion amongst people who actually considered what i asked was that it was an exceptional case and so did not warrant a change in the code, so the easiest work around was to have an highly controlling chairman.

May also need to increase scouting network of club and increase funds available?

NB: well done to Dave C for correctly stating that there wasn't a chance of MFC being able to buy a championship or league 1 club, it appears that he was right (unlike many of the idiots throwing "certainties" around)
