I disagree. To me it just looks like a Supporter's Trust with bolts on - it's just the supporters are scattered across the country (world?). Perhaps this is how it will be implemented by SI.
As Nick from SI pointed out earlier, this is a significant financial investment for a small club like Ebbsfleet. I don't believe people are doing it for financial investments either - perhaps they just love football! </BLOCKQUOTE>
In the first place, it should be clear that most, if not all, of the 20,00 are not Ebbsfleet supoprters, and I don't expect them to abandon their true loves for them either.
That's not an insignificant point when considering the sustainability of the project.
As for the level of investment, it's yet to be made clear how much money is going to Ebbsfleet's operating budget.
Another poster said that the intention was to run the club on it's own financial capabilities, which would suggest little or no capital input. Most of the cash in that case must have been used to buy the 51% stake.
