its getting really annoying as it is now... i personally hate second half team talk...

if your team wining first half.. there is nothing you can absolutely say to make your team play second half ( this isnt such big issue playing in premiership, but of my conference and similar.. )

dont let your performance drop.. why its there? it does nothing , with any team i played it never helped

dont get careless work 1/3 time

encourage ( even if wining ) makes you loosing ..

be angry ? how can you be angry when you wining game.. doesnt make sense for me

for fans , doesnt seem to any real meaning or sense, nor effect to even have such option as second half

just had another game.. where first half i was wining 9 goal attempts 1 goal 0 attempts for opposition , second half. i say dont get careless , you know what. opposition 16 goal attempts .. me 0 ... draw game.. i even was lucky not to loose..

and like this 4 games from 5, most of games i win cuz my team is far stronger than any other in my league , so i build that 1-2 goals lead in first half and try to hold in second ..

no it aint that my team get tired or similar..
theirs get tired too , not to mention you can see that when you start bashing you on 46 min.. not 80 or so


but if you loosing game, you can go yell at your team and you might actually win game

im sure many of you had 0 2 and won 3 2 or similar as i did...

i know Developers made everything possible to make sure that you as manager have biggest effect you can .. but team talks are clearly something broken

those pre match press conference only good if you play against some godmode team you dont expect to win.. then you might actually get lucky

there are lots of other issues with team talk and such, it sometimes doesnt feel realistic at all to me

here ppl used to say " Kas per daug tas nesveika " Whats too much thats unhealthy " or similar expression

just as too much effect from team talk in wining or loosing or players performance

I agree with the point that team talks get way too many Nothing Specific responses from players, but I also don't think you can expect your talk at half to decide the outcome of the game. It can influence but just because you say something they want to hear doesn't mean the game should go in your favor does it?

In principle team talks are a good idea and should be part of the game. In reality, they have far too much effect, both positive and negative, and need to be worked on for future versions.

alex ferguson won the champ league with 1 team talk he told them at half time (losing 1-0) to bayern munich that if they dont win this they will have to walk past the cup and not be allowed to touch it

and im sure the bayern manager (bayern were much the better team in the 1st half) told them not to get complacent or simuler words

so proves that altough you give a team talk so to does the other manager

apart from that i do agree they do tend to not work more often than do

Yes I agree that team talks can slightly change the performance or attitude of a team, but I don't think that just because they liked what you said that you should win the game.

The original post said stuff like "Encourage = Losing" which I don't think is true, or should be true.

Plus I am sure for every talk like Ferguson's there are a million stories that have never been told of managers giving a great motivational speeches and then the team goes out and gets beaten.

my point exactly with the bayern managers team talk sure he said more than go out and play the same but he still lost

yeah far too many times i,m left at halftime without a suitable team talk option .. just end up saying pleased (winning by a small margain) and my players run out with there shades and barmuda shorts on and totally relax... hence i get thumped for 45mins

need more options...

thinking encourage option should always be there aswell

but comparing 2 world class teams, to ingame talk and saying things happen or that it isnt broken is frankly stupid ..

as i said before my team is like 2-3 stronger than rest of the league because i managed to loan like 6 players.. 2 great strikers.. 1 gk 3 mid 1 defender.. ,

and it isnt just 1 game where my second half blows big time no matter what i say in half time..

and i dont expect my team to win game due my team talk, thats whole point team talk have far too big effect or no effect when its needed,

it should be like 20 team talk 30 player mentality 50 player skill in playing game , to decide how game will go, now its 70 team talk 20 player mentality ( 20 determination can win you a game ) 10 player skill ..
