Hey guys, I know it may have been answered a lot of times but it would be awesome if someone would advise me which game should I go for. Since I am living in Canada, its almost impossible to get FM08 here (until you buy it from ebay where people ususally sell pirated versions which I really dont want). I was thinking of ordering WWSM 2008 from Amazon.com. It would be awesome if someone would tell me what are the major differences between the two versions of the game and which one is better? And if someone has already bought WWSM 2008 from Amazon.com, how long does it takes the game to be delivered? Thanks in advance

The difference between WWSM 08 and FM08 !!!!! Post #2
They are essentially the same game. The only difference I can ever see is that WWSM starts with the American wording of things. As an example, it's called "field" rather than "pitch". Of course, it's easy to go change that back to the UK version of English.
As for shipping with Amazon, it's pretty quick. I think you can also download the game as well if you are really impatient and have a good internet connection.

Patches are released slower for WSM, about a week or slightly more later. I've seen 'em out as late as a fortnight. Also, if you DD WSM, you need to be careful to d/l the DD patch. If you d/l the patch for a boxed version, you'll need a CD for your DD game...
Third party editors like FMScout and FMM don't work with WSM.
Other than that and the UK/US English, they're the same. Online multiplayer is wholly compatible between Fm and WSM.

WWSM is basically for countires that doesn't import FM. It is availble for you to pay & download it though. eg. North America. I used to buy Championship Manager online from the offical site back when I was in Vancouver, Canada. Basically, they are the same and also the Futbol for the Spanish community down south.
