I have a essay deadline tomorrow for my MSc course BUT i just cant pull myself from making Crystal Palace a Champions League success. I keep telling myself i will stop at 9 then it becomes 9.30 and so on. I think i will be finishing it in the morning if at all!
Has anyone else had similar problems or more importantly got any tips

Take out your cd, break it, enjoy the 1 second of relieve as you now can concentrate on your essay..
But be prepared for the horrifying pain and panic your entire body will turn to, until you get a new copy..
My serious advice: close down the game, write a very speedy essay, and return to the game, with even more joy, as it's now "legitimate"
Otherwise, you can always blame the closing down bug for not letting you close your game down!

I remember a long long time ago, playing CM98/99 (I think it was) with an economics final the next day. Me and my friend stayed up until 4am to see which one of us won the league. it was worth it, I won I think that year we spent more time playing CM than actually doing any work. Terrible.

as long as i m doing well i cant stop...the only way to stop is something that will really wind me up(like cup-CL failure or bad form) and make me close the game and relax...until i begin again.

I learned something wonderful in my freshman year in college.
It's called "do your essay the second it's assigned, and turn it in early"
Your professor will appreciate that he/she has one less paper to grade when everyone else turns in their papers, and if there are any errors that would have left you with a B, your professor will likely give it back and tell you what to fix, which should take another maybe 15 minutes of your time.
The best part is, while everyone else is scrambling, printers malfunctioning, etc, you're playing FM with a clear conscience.
(Yes, i was the only person in my dorms playing FM and making snowmen during the "reading" days when everyone else is cramming for finals )
