after watching the spurs arsenal game, it got me thinking, jamie o'hara come in and had a stormer, matching any one else in the midfield. However on FM he would have probably not had a good game due to having a low CA after he hasnt really had a good run of first team games in a high reputation league etc
Wouldnt it make more sence to have all youth that come through to have 'floating' CA so not having a CA set until he plays say 10 games at any level so you can accuratelyjudge what level he plays at?
for example
PLayer A comes through the ranks and in his first 10 games plays good in the U18s and plays a bit in a first team league cup game, and performs good, looking bright getting a rating of 7 say.
Therefore this player would be rewarded with a CA of around 110 for example
Player B comes through and in his first 10 games, which he doesnt complete until about 3/4 of the way through the U18 season due to injury or poor form in his first 1 or 2 games, or the influx of foreign youth bought in the summer, he doesnt really get going and so would be given a CA of 5o or so after those 10 games.
This would make sence as the guy who eprformed from the start had his higher CA given early and has chances to develop it, while the lesser player would not have his CA until later due to not playing, and along with having a low CA he wouldnt be able to develop it until later either
I think this would solve the low CA problem FM08 has been having.
As for the first 10 games in any cometition since they would have been promoted they should have an unset CA, which should make them perform at the level of a player with 80-90 CA
What do you all think? as obviously PA is set in stone from early on
