Is there any point making aerobic intensive training schedules for slow players. I would have thought that players will be naturally fast or slow and that training would not push pace and acceleration attributes past a certain level. Its just that fleck and jose baxter in my team are a bit slow and am thinking of making training just for them, has anyone tried this?
If a player is over 23 years old, extremes of training has very little effect.
If the players are about 18, then you can "sometimes" raise pace\accel by about 2 points.
I had a couple of wonderkids with really poor physical stats and put them intensive strength\aerobic training for 2 years. Their stamina and strength went up about 4 points, but the other physical stats hardly changed.
Because of the intensive physical training, the players were given light training in other areas, but the mental\technical stats still went up on average 2 points. Weird!!!
I have 6 star coaches. One coach dedicated to each area of training. 1st class training facility.
Intensive training does not have that much effect. I have 2 players that have low stamina, same thing, with intense strength training, they only got 4 points from age 20-24. I think most of the stats also have caps.
A slow player is always a slow player, no matter how much you train, he cannot become a fast player.
It also depends on his potential too. If a player has a low potential, chances are he isn't going to improve much.
I have signed a few really good prospect players with high potential ratings. These players are under 17. So i should expect their stats to get better over the next 4-5 years with my schedules.
Also, look to your coaches. They will suggest a player they can learn from.
i've found it pretty much impossible to raise players' pace. this in itself isn't much of a problem, because it would be unrealistic to expect to be able to make a player significantly faster via training, but when regens consistently come through with terrible physical stats, not being able to "fix" their pace is a major problem
