Nice job just done it the only complaint I have at the moment round here are the people who come and blame peoples tactics for the bugs even if its a confirmed bug even heard one guy blaming another for the spanish registration bug saying it was his fault for A. not paying attention and micromanaging his team and B. picking an "unpopular and therefor a league not many people care about" lol I never say fan boy he got called allot worse though.

Done, but I feel as though there should be an optional text box at the end of some of the pages so that we could explain our decision.

I feel that on the "What should be improved for FM 2009" question, we should have been allowed to choose two or three things.

I think the Regen System and Transfer System.

dane0 - you are correct. We do use focus groups.

Whilst I'm interested in seeing the results of any survey (and well done on the way you set it up), you are also correct that this isn't very scientific as well, particularly as it's possible to fill in the survey multiple times.

Whilst the opinion of everyone on these forums is valid, and we read the constructively critical and praise ones and take them into account, this forum forms a tiny proportion of the total people playing the game, and the demographic of the users isn't proportional to the demographic of the total users playing the game, hence when we do focus groups, there are set diffferent demographics used to try and cover as many "types" of user as possible. Online surveys that aren't compulsory (as in ones that are optional) are always going to be skewed one way or another, as you're likely to only get extreme views (love and hate), as the middle ground don't normally spend the time filling them in (from previous experience of these kinds of things).

So I look forward to seeing what the survey says from the perspective of the forum demographic, and to see how many people respond - are you going to have a way to get rid of all (bar one) of the surveys from the same IP address, to try and limit the potential multiple entries? And of course, we will continue to read and take on board the constructive criticism from these forums.

Feedback.

1. One of the questions refers to the game being fun to play and asks you to grade the game on how "funny" the game is. I know it's only the wording but I think you have missed an opportunity here.

It should be more about how "enjoyable" you find the game. Not about how "fun" you find the game. I enjoy doing a great many things which are not really "fun" to do.

2. With regards to the new features, I don't want to pick any of the options you have provided. I want to select the "best eleven" feature, but as that is unavailable I want to select I really want to select "none of the above" but that isn't available either. Instead I have had to opt for the facegen system.

3. With regards to the question concerning which area I would like SI to concentrate it's resources, I would have liked to maybe give 3-5 areas as I think just 1 option doesn't give me enough scope.

I answered that they should concentrate most on the match engine but there were a great many other areas that require significant improvement if the game is to move forward rather than stagnate.

4. Concerning the "would I like to see a 3d match engine" question, I would like to be given the opportunity to explain WHY I don't want SI to introduce a new 3d match engine. It's not that I'm a stick in the mud, it's just that I want them to sort out some of the serious flaws in the current game before biting off more than they can chew with the 3d match engine.

Overall, well done for setting up this survey. It's something that I would have hoped that SI would have done themselves.

I appreciate what Miles says concerning demographics, but the fact that he calls the people who use this forum, "a tiny proportion of the total people playing the game", I find quite strange. This is the first point of contact for people looking to download any patch that enhances the game, (isn't it? ), and let's be honest, there was a pretty desperate need of a patch from the off this year. So is Miles suggesting that only a tiny percentage of people playing the game are using a patch ?

Anyway, well done on the survey, but to be honest I was left wanting a little more from your questions. I participated in a thread while we were waiting for the first patch that went into a fair bit of detail about what structure a survey such as this should take.

Your's is good, bit it could have been really good.

I've done and some of the questions were quite confusing. I finished it anyway but good survey and I await the results. Well done.

The forum is only a small proportion of people playing the game - you've only got to look at the number of users registered against the sales figures of FM to see that.

Using the patch as a yardstick is a complete red herring too, as the patch will be mostly accessed through the main SI site, not via the Forums. You don't even have to go there for it as it is mirrored across other sites.
