Hi

I've been trying to swap the Faroese league for the Icelandic league, but then Iceland is simply removed from the league selection when I'm starting a new game.. oh and there is no Faroe Islands either..

Is it even possible? It was on FM2006 I remember..

Seriously, I've used hours and hours, but still it doesnt work.. What changed? It was so easy on 2006..

Change the Icelandic league name, to 'so and so league' and put the faroese teams into it, but it has to be the same amount of teams in it.

I've switched the countries TLA, swapped the teams etcetc and then I cant see Faroe Islands in the league selection screen..

Then I tried to only switch TLA, which worked as I now could see Faroe Islands in the league selection screen.

Then I tried switching one club at the time, which worked, until the fourth club I switched.. then it didnt work anymore..

any clues?

Finally I can see Faroe Islands in the league selection screen, but when I try to start a game it crashes after 10-15 seconds..

I've cleared all history og faroese and icelandic competitions and added last seasons results (with faroese clubs in icelandic comps and vice versa)

I just dont get it

I've got it working for swapping faroese clubs with israeli clubs, but the TV-revenue and prizemoney is so high that it gets unplayable.. Please can someone help me out with this one ...

Have you set the "last position" correctly? As if you haven't, when it tries to setup the league cup it'll crash due to not being able to seed it as it won't know which teams go in which cup. I had this problem when swapping France.

Also, make sure you have enough teams for the FA cup in the lower divisions. Even if they ain't Faroe Island teams, the game will still use them.

when you say "correctly" do you mean:
- setting last positions for all teams in 1. and 2. division
- setting europe qualifiers so they match the "last position" in 1st division (nr. 1 = CL, 2 = Uefa....)

If so yes I've done it..

It thats not enough I'd be glad to get a hint of what to do..

as of now I have exactly as many teams in the Icelandic lower division as there was before i started editing

The history of ALL competitions has been wiped and i've added last years history (which matches the last position of the teams)

I just dont get it.. what can it be?

Have you tried setting some of the 3rd division team's last positions as these teams are also used for the league cup. As I say, this may not be your problem(it seems like it, but Iceland may just not be able to be swapped) but if you do not have any 3rd division teams set, it may not know which ones to use when doing cup seedings.

I've actally gone 1 team at the time at simply "copied" the info from the icelandic teams to the faroese team.

I've edited history for ALL competitions to match the info.

Still it crashes in the beginning..

I'm beginning to think it just cant be done. I've noticed that in the DB the icelandic 2. div has 10 teams, but if you start a game up is has 12 teams. This is done by the "next division" thing and I've got this covered, but this has made me wonder if this also is hardcoded and then is the cause for the crash?
