Sorry for the double post but got carried away with the England bit

I think it could hurt Man utd if they lost there England boys, Chelsea would just spend their money to replace there English players but Arsenal would be ok

And I agree the England team would win the league and probably the Champions league (if entered?).

Anyway this isn't a discussion about England so keep it on topic! :p

Your experiment sounds interesting, if internationals (in game) are anything to go by, England will win the quadrouple!
sorry my bad

on the whole england subject, the sooner they drop rooney the better, he is a greedy player (not as bad as he used to be granted, but still greedy) and as a shadow striker he does not score enough international goals...if you want to play gerrard and lampard in the same team, use 1 of them 2 as a shadow striker instead of rooney as both would work well in that sort of position and im sure they would bring home alot more than shrek

Owen is injured to often.
Andy Johnson isn't that good(Again my opinion)
and Darren bent is a good poacher but he doesn't play for a big team so yeah again in my opinion he won't be a big england player until he plays for one of the top 4 or Liverpool :p

England has a awesome defense , Awesome midfield and a decent strike but unlike other teams, England insist on playing so their wingers only cross in balls but don't play like attacking wingers like Man u , Chelsea and Arsenal play. I mean Gerrerd should Play like ronaldo and try scoring, Downing should play like how Robben does and attack inside and try scoring and not insent on crossing when no one in the team except terry and Ferdinand can head.
just to say rooney is rubbish. it was his fault that we ost the world cup. if that manager played crouch more often and left "shrek" on the bench at best we woudl ahve had a better chance. also let lampard defend as he always hits his shots closer to the sky satilites than the goal. gerrard is a much better goalscorer

You cannot play Gerrard and Lampard in the same team...it's now been proven time and time again, and it just does not work.
True - but surely a top class manager could make that work, over time?

my record was P7-W3-D1-L3......so I went on hols for rest of season....England finished 2nd behind Chelsea, losing only 3 more in the 31 other games.....

may give them a season without my help !

Rooney/Owen
J Cole/Hargreaves/Gerrard/Lennon
A Cole, J Terry, Ferdinand, G Neville
P Robinson.

was my 'play set line up' or whatever it's called.....

my england team would be robinson (only cos kirkland is constantly injured)
2g.nev 4j.terry 5j.carragher(miles better than ferdinand)3w.bridge
7.lennon 6.nolan/barton 8.gerrard 11.j.cole/downing
10.rooney and my number 9 which most of you would slate me for, but in my opinion is the ONLY english striker to be able to stick it in the net regulary....ROBBIE FOWLER! he has second best strike rate at liverpool this season and has played less games out of all their strikers... and i think he and rooney would both compliment each other very well

As a Liverpool fan for the last 30 years, I would say the Fowler of 95-97, when in consecutive seasons he got 25 then 28 Premiership goals, would be great - Michael Owen still hasn't hit 20 league goals in a season...

But Fowler has long gone past his best - but is still better than Defoe or Johnson or Bent.....
