We all saw Chelsea this season - purely majestic. It is true they cannot play the same slick, stylish football as Manchester United, or the free-flowing football of Arsenal, but putting it straight and simple - Chelsea get the job done.
People look at Chelsea in the wrong manner, in my opinion. We score some excellent, flowing goals most games - take the FA Cup Final goal for example - that passing was the best move of the match by far. Yet in the big games, when it matters, Chelsea play a robust football, which looks unattractive, but stops other teams from playing like they usually do. The best example of this is against Manchester United in the FA Cup and Arsenal at the Emirates in the 1-1 league draw this May.
But with honours galore this year, Chelsea have done so well. Until the first Week of May, they were fighting on all four fronts, after securing a place in the FA Cup final and the Carling Cup already in the trophy room.
True, in the space of 8 days, Arsenal and Liverpool caused heartache on two fronts, but the Blues can be proud after becoming the 2006/07 Cup Kings.
So - what is your opinion? Has Chelsea's two trophies this season good enough to be considered a good campaign, or has domestic league and European failure made it a disappointment? Don't forget - Chelsea played all but one game this campaign - the UEFA Champions League final.
Your UNBIASED opinions are welcome - Chelsea fans and all.
FYI - please ignore the jibes from opposition fans we are likely to receive in this thread - just don;t sink down to their level.
