It's no use having a squad full of star players without a decent way for them to play their football.

Ruff:

Good tactic so far> Played about 10 games so far. Started as unemployed and took over Crystal Palace in the middle of the season. They were 21st now currently 10th. Winning, but only usually by 1 goal, but a win is a win. In the process of revamping the squad so will keep you updated. One question: Do you always start the games, home or away, with the basic formation or do you ever use one of the secondary formations?

Ruff:

Since last post I have finished the season and ended up in 12th place. Went on a massive losing streak but never by more than 1 goal. I found when at home I unchecked the counter attack and it worked well. On away games I lowered the mentality to normal and played much better> I also had to lower the mentality and CF on both strikers as they were shooting from crazy angles> Instead of having the settings the same for both strikers I gave one a slightly lower mentality and CF than the other and this seemed to work.

Hi Ruff this looks good on papeer going to try it tonight one question if you were going to implement a amc how would you do it. I ask because I have an exceptional amc and would like to involve him in this formation.
Cheers

@Crazyscotsman

Yeah i have been playing formation home and away but i am going to have to look at things, personally i dont have much trouble.

With regards to winning games, most of mine do actually turn out to be either just a one goal win sometimes but like you said a win is a win.

Glad you were able to find a way to use the tactic, with tweaking to get a better effect and you got a good position in the league, hopefully now that you have found a set up with it that it will work for you next season.

@ Lyons

If you look at my tactic, for the centre midfielder, that is infact an AMC that plays that position for me, as with the status of the run, they go straight into the box.
if you wish to include them further with the attacking role, could move them into the position behind the strikers.

to anyone new who views this thread and for those already in relation to my tactic i am currently trying to devise a more sturdy away tactic.

For myself i have had good results with the one tactic but in other leagues it doesnt seem so strong so i have got one made but in testing, results using it so far is 2-2 draw with man utd and a 2-0 win over inverness, i will test another 10 away games then if is going well ill post up anything new i find

Hello Ruff..i`m going to try your tactic..but i do think i have a problem..i don`t have any DM in the squad, and it`s not transfer window. I`m using a Mc that goes all the way back. Also the McL and McR..well..i have AmCr and AmcR instead of them.

dont worry, cover the DM position either with a MC or DC, this should aide in watching that space.

for the two wide midfielders i do reccomend an AMR and AML, due to the attacking role both players are being given it is better but simple ML and MR do work through testing.

would say too Alex that in roughly an hour to an hour and a half i will have three new posts up, second stats, NEW basic tactic and a new away tactic which are built stronger in my view, i am currently doing all my write ups and change logs right now so everyone can read everything i have done to try adapt this
