Tactics & Training Tips

It's no use having a squad full of star players without a decent way for them to play their football.

Default targetmen!

i have a huge problem with targetmen. go buy iverson for £1.6 mil , play solid 4-4-2 targetman system and glory is yours. i am sure we have all done it, bought targetmen, 2 good wingers and won loads. i do it in the prem with villa and west ham all the time. its not hard.

so i took over at lyon, great passing team, set up my team to play to feet, fast fluid football. i am getting sick of losing to the likes of monaco who lump it to koller and its in the back of my net.

now i know its harder to play passing football , but its too easy to win with tall targetmen, i hope fm08 is different.

ok so with no experience your team won't have any confidence in you, when I first got the game I had that bother with barca so I steer clear of title favourites.

That said Jan Koller is 6'8" with jumping 17 and heading 20 finishing 16 and 15's for composure and anticipation.

Cacapa @ 5'11" jump 11 head 17 is no match.

Don't worry he'll retire soon lol

thanks for your reply tony, i agree, but people seem to be missing my point. fm07 is favored way to match to heading and jumping. why does iverson always score more for me then villa, eto or torres?

I think you are totally right. I always buy Iversen in my games an put him as target man, he wins most of the headers and I dominate the match. What's important is that header passes can go up to 60 metres, this is a bug I think.

I totally agree - TM's are far too effective, score too many goals and get too high ratings simply because they win so many headers. I also hope fm08 is different.
