"ive decided to take this aproach on my ever frustrating voyage of taking Man U or Arsenal to 10-9-19, i lost 6 games at Highbury.the best ive ever done is 11-7-12 in the prem. so ive stopped even trying to fix my own tactics. im using user created tactics.
ive found that the Computer when its not a big time manager uses a very cookie cutter aproach with a few exeptions(Fulham for example)and i can find dominance with certain tactics against certain tactics
so ive now figured it out i believe. players are basically only for vanity its all about knowing the tactic to counter the tactic change by the CPU, now id like to put it out there the guide to exactly which tactics slay which tactics
so far all i know is that a defensive 4-1-4-1 with short farrows for the wingers can dominate the menace that is the 4-2-4 but how do i break the 4-3-3, 4-4-2, 4-5-1, 3-5-2 4-in all 3 mediums Attack(home if you perfer)Defend(Away) and Counter."
My personal opnion is that he's got a good idea, but needs to give more details on his 4-1-4-1 formation (I use a defensive 4-2-3-1 with lots of time wasting and long passing/counter against CPU's 4-2-4 to good effect, score more often than I conncede)
I dont agree players arfe just for vanity nut I have done some work in my own games looking at which formations counter the AI set up, these are some of my findings
Obviously each tactic is different and someone elses 442 could be wildly different than mine and result in a very different match up, but I have found matching against the AI formation the most succesful approach

thank you socks, its a point i can use to jump from and i apreshiate it, i assume your using your posted tactics.
no worries, yes all this data is based on my default tactics and tested over 20 seasons, absoloutely no idea if this works with others peoples formations though it would be intersting to see if there is a correlation, regardless of team and indivdual team settings.
