I was promoted to the Premiership with Derby County using a tactic that has not once failed me. I finished the Championship season with a squad hailed as "mediocre", but i got an automatic promotion bid with 90 points.
In my first year in the Premiership, after 23 games i find myself 4th, with loses to only a handful of the top teams.

Make sure your LCM, and RCM are explosive players that can also play AML or AMR.
Use two fast forwards, I use Eddie Johnson (From the MLS), and my other Forward has been Arturo Lupoli (on loan for 3 straight years).
