Help with my West Ham team formation would be appreciated.
After a bit of doctoring with the old Editor I'm giving it a go with the Hammers new signings and to continue realism I gave myself 30 M to spend.
I've come up with this team but can't quite get them to click. Ashton, Neill, Parker and Shorey have been particularly poor and I just cant seem to get the balance right.
1. Green
2. Neill
3. Shorey
4. Micah Richards
5. Ferdinand Anton
6. Ljungberg
7. Parker
8. Arteta
9. Ashton
10. Tevez
11. Bowyer
12. Landon Donovan
13. Collins
14. Eddie Johnson
15. Etherington
16. Wright
I have tried an old 4-4-2 with the left striker as a target man. A 4-3-3 and a 4-3-1-2 but none seem to run smoothly. The 4-4-2 seems to work best but Ashton can't score for toffee as the target man.
Ive tried Arteta in the middle or out left or as a playmaker behind the front two. I have tried Tevez as a striker or behind the front two. Ljungberg, Parker and Bowyer as a three in the middle don't seem strong enough. The kist goes on.
I'm 4th after 9 games so it's going ok but as I say it just doesn't seem to flow. I'm thinking of bringing Mark Noble back from loan??
Can someone maybe point me in a direction of a formation that may suit the players or any other tips?
Thank you...
PS When Ljungberg scored it said "he scores his 50th goal for West Ham???? Is this because I just moved him from Arsenal to West Ham in the Editor?
Thanks.
