Can someone please tell me if there is a way of getting someone to sign when they have 'no desire of joining you in the near future'? in this case Messi!

I've been trying to unsettle him and I have to some degree but he's still not taking the bait!

try changing his squad status to key player. as long as you can afford his wages and other demands, you should be able to sign him. this is what i normally do when tring to sign youngstars who have potential but dont want to move clubs. hope that helps.

Say you'll kill e'm if he doesn't join. This Should unsettle him. Or you can, say, use his wife as bait if he has one. People with money always get the hot women.

That's the thing he won't even demand anything - just says no straight off. i've maxed out everything that i can offer him but he won't budge. the pain in the arse!

maybe your clubs reputation is not enough to sign him.

i played as manutd and i used like 4 seasons just to get him. every season, i will kept declaring interest and other interaction with him and although he kept taking my comments with pinch of salt, i still persist to interact.
even though i do not have the money, i still offer 100mil pound and barcelona accept my fee and messi will say y the club accepts offer for him, kind of unsettle him. finally he say he is angry with the manager and i got him=) now a star player with ronaldo but always injured...
